Thirty days. No questions asked.
Cancel within 30 days of your first payment and we refund it in full, for any reason or none. You do not have to justify it, you will not get a retention call, and nothing about your installation changes until the period you paid for ends.
How to ask
Send a message through the contact form with the topic set to Licence or billing, from the email address on the account, saying you would like a refund. That is the entire process. There is no form to complete, no reason to supply and no approval step.
How long it takes
We process it within three working days of your message. Our merchant of record then returns it to your original payment method, which typically takes a further three to five working days depending on your bank. You will receive a credit note by email.
What happens to your installation
You keep using it until the end of the period you paid for. After that it enters read-only mode like any lapsed licence: everything remains readable, every report runs, and exports and backups continue to work permanently. Nothing is deleted, and if you change your mind later you can subscribe again and pick up exactly where you left off.
The two exceptions
- Renewals more than 30 days old. The guarantee applies to your first payment. If a renewal charges and you notice two months later, we cannot refund that period, though we will cancel immediately so nothing further is charged. We email before every renewal precisely so this does not happen.
- Licences terminated for breach. If a licence is terminated for redistributing the software or circumventing the licence mechanism, there is no refund. This has never happened and we hope it stays that way.
Paid services
The installation and migration services are refundable in full before work begins. Once the work has been done it is not refundable, because the time was genuinely spent. If we fail to deliver what we agreed, that is a different matter and we will refund it.
Why we do this
Self-hosted software asks you to commit before you can fully evaluate it. The demo and the 14-day trial exist to reduce that risk, and a straightforward refund covers the rest. A guarantee with conditions attached is not a guarantee, so this one has two exceptions and both are above rather than buried in a clause.
Try it with nothing at stake.
A 14-day trial with no card, then 30 days to change your mind after the first payment.
