Pricing and billing
How much does Gyro Suite cost?
$9 per company per month, with unlimited users and every module included. Pay annually and you get two months free, so $90 per company per year. All prices are in US dollars, with sales tax, VAT or GST added at checkout where your jurisdiction requires it.
Is it really unlimited users?
Yes. There is no seat count in the product, no per-user upgrade and no fair-use clause. Two people or two hundred pay the same.
What counts as a company?
One set of books: its own chart of accounts, fiscal year, tax configuration, numbering and trial balance. If it files its own tax return, it is a company. Branches, departments, warehouses, tax registrations and users inside it are free and unlimited.
What happens if I stop paying?
Your installation goes read-only after a ten day grace period. Nothing is deleted. You keep reading, reporting, exporting and backing up permanently. Subscribe again and writing resumes with nothing lost.
Do you offer refunds?
Thirty days from your first payment, in full, for any reason or none. See the refund policy for the two narrow exceptions.
Is there a free tier?
No, but there is a 14-day trial of the complete product with no card required, and a live demo that needs no signup at all.
Can I pay annually?
Yes, at ten months for twelve. You can switch at any renewal, and moving from monthly to annual mid-term prorates what you have already paid.
Will the price go up?
Existing subscriptions are price-protected for as long as they remain continuously active. That is in the terms of service, not just on a marketing page.
What if I add a company by mistake?
Archive it. Billing stops at the next cycle and the data stays. If it was a genuine mistake within the same billing period, tell us and we will not charge for it.
Do you take purchase orders or bank transfer?
For annual subscriptions of five companies or more, yes. Ask through the contact form. Below that it is card or the payment methods our merchant of record supports in your country.
Hosting and installation
Will it run on my shared hosting?
If your host offers PHP 8.3 or newer with the ionCube Loader, MySQL 8 or MariaDB 10.6, and a one-minute cron, yes. That covers most cPanel accounts. The system requirements page has a checker.
Do I need a VPS?
No. A VPS makes it faster and the software will use Redis and workers if they exist, but nothing requires them. Shared cPanel is the design floor.
Do I need SSH or the command line?
No. Upload a zip in File Manager, create a database, run a browser wizard, paste one cron line. That is the whole install.
How long does installation take?
About six minutes on a typical cPanel account. The longest part is usually uploading the 40 MB archive.
What is ionCube and why do I need it?
A PHP extension that runs encoded applications. It is standard on most cPanel hosts and free to enable. Encoding is what protects the product from being copied and resold, which is what keeps the price at $9.
My host does not have ionCube. Now what?
Ask them to enable it. It is a standard cPanel extension and almost all hosts will. If they refuse, the requirements page lists hosts we have tested.
Can you install it for me?
Yes, as a one-off paid service including SSL check, email setup, cron verification, first company configuration and a basic data import. Usually done within one business day.
Can I install it in a subfolder?
Yes, and on a subdomain, and in the more secure layout where the application sits above public_html with only its public folder exposed. The installer detects which you are using.
How do updates work?
One click. The updater backs up first, verifies a signature, migrates in chunks that survive a shared host, and rolls back automatically on failure.
Can I run a test installation?
Yes. One staging installation is included free with every licence, plus unlimited local installations on localhost or a .test domain.
Data, licensing and security
What does the licence check send you?
Your domain, licence key, installation fingerprint, product version, PHP version and company count. Nothing else, once a day, over HTTPS.
Can you see my business data?
No. It never leaves your server. There is no telemetry, no analytics beacon and no cloud sync. We could not retrieve it if we were compelled to, because we never receive it.
What if your licence server goes down?
Your installation keeps working for ten days on its cached licence. There is also an offline activation route for servers with no outbound internet at all.
Can I move to a different server or domain?
Yes, yourself, in about two minutes. Deactivate in the application or your client area, then activate on the new domain. You only need the key, not the old domain.
Can you remotely disable my installation?
Technically yes, and we use it only for a genuinely lapsed subscription after its grace period or a key confirmed as pirated after an appeal window. Even then it goes read-only, not dark, with exports still working.
Can I get my data out?
Always. Full MySQL dump plus per-module CSV and XLSX export of every entity and all attachments. This works on an active licence and on a lapsed one.
Is the source code available?
No. The application is ionCube-encoded. If reading the source is a requirement, ERPNext or Odoo Community are the honest recommendations.
What if you go out of business?
We publish a permanent unlock that removes licence checking entirely, with at least 90 days notice. Written into the terms, not just promised here.
Is it GDPR compliant?
The tooling is there: subject access export, erasure for an individual, consent tracking, an append-only audit log and configurable retention. Since you are the data controller and we never receive the data, compliance is largely in your hands, which is the point of self-hosting.
How do you handle security issues?
Publicly. A dated advisory log, a written disclosure process, acknowledgement within 24 hours, critical fixes within seven days, and credit for reporters. Security releases are free on every version regardless of subscription status.
Product and migration
Is the accounting real double-entry?
Yes. Chart of accounts, balanced journals generated from every posted document, immutable postings, period locks, multi-currency, cost centres and the full statement set. Not invoicing with categories.
Can I use only some modules?
Yes. The Module Manager turns any module off, hides it from every menu and keeps the data. Nothing you disable costs you anything, and core modules cannot be disabled.
Does it work on a phone?
Yes, as an installable PWA served from your own installation. Attendance, expense receipts with the camera, approvals, tasks, timers, ticket replies, stock counts, barcode scanning and the till.
What languages does it support?
The interface translates fully and ships with several languages, with Arabic and French right-to-left support arriving this quarter. Content fields such as product names and email templates are translatable per locale.
Can I import from Perfex CRM?
Yes, with a guided importer covering customers, contacts, leads, staff, projects, tasks, invoices, payments, estimates, proposals, expenses, items and tickets, with a dry run and a rollback.
Can I import from Zoho, QuickBooks or Tally?
Yes. Presets exist for Zoho CRM and Books, QuickBooks CSV, Tally XML, Odoo CSV, RISE CRM and generic spreadsheets. Opening balances import as one balanced journal rather than fabricated invoices.
Is there an API?
Yes. REST over every major entity, documented with OpenAPI, authenticated with API keys or OAuth2 scopes, rate limited, with signed outbound webhooks and retries.
Can I customise it without a developer?
To a considerable degree. Custom fields on any entity, custom public forms, workflow state machines with approvals, no-code automations, print templates and the report builder. What you cannot do without code is create entirely new record types, which is on the roadmap.
How many users can it handle?
About ten concurrent on shared hosting and around fifty on a VPS with Redis. Total user accounts are unlimited; the constraint is how many are clicking at the same moment.
Do you have a partner programme?
Yes, for agencies, accountants and hosting providers deploying it for clients, with volume pricing and a shared client area. Ask through the contact form.
Still deciding?
The demo needs no signup and the trial needs no card. Both beat reading another page.
